Space Robot Problems
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

Eraly Friday morning of last week astronauts placed a big robot to the space station. The machine was made by the canadians and costed over $200 million. Power is needed to heat the joints, limbs and electronics inside the robot arm. If left cold for days the machine could be damaged beyond repair. Canada's space station electronics manager, Pierre Jean, suspects a time in the machine (which would turn on the heating sytem) is not working or is off. He also believes there could be a cable problem as well. The robot is called Dextre and is planed on being placed to the space station later with problems all fixed. There are five spacewalks planed for the instalation (cant spell) of the robot. When it was finaly installed we had all the problems from above.
